LOS ANGELES — Hamilton High School’s football program kicked off the season with a new chapter, playing their first game on a brand-new grass field. The excitement was palpable as the team was ready to take on one of Southern California’s premier high school football programs—Serra High School. However, the celebration of the new field was short-lived as Serra dominated the game, finishing with a commanding 33-0 lead by halftime.
The opening moments of the game saw some fireworks from the Serra Cavaliers, who wasted no time putting points on the board. The first touchdown of the game came from none other than five-star two-way player, Duvay Williams. Williams displayed his exceptional athleticism by leaping high to make a contested catch in the corner of the end zone, shrugging off a defender in the process.

Serra’s defensive line, led by Khary Wilder, wreaked havoc on Hamilton’s offense throughout the first half. Wilder, an Ohio State commit, had a standout performance, including a monstrous sack where he knocked the helmet off the Hamilton quarterback, showcasing his power and tenacity. The Cavaliers’ defense was relentless, keeping Hamilton’s offense in check all night long.
Despite the tough defeat, there were some bright spots for Hamilton. The future of the program looks promising, particularly with Thaddeus II Breaux, a freshman quarterback who stands at an imposing 6’5″. Breaux showed poise and skill under pressure, and while the scoreline didn’t reflect it, his performance was a glimpse of what may be to come for the program. As he continues to develop, Hamilton fans have reason to be optimistic about his growth and potential as their leader in the years ahead.
For Serra, this victory adds to their already impressive resume, and they will now turn their attention to next week’s highly anticipated matchup against national powerhouse Folsom High School. The game has been billed as one of the most exciting California high school football games of the year, and Serra will surely be looking to build on this win as they face another tough challenge.
