The Phillies closed out their 162nd game of the season with a dramatic 10th-inning win. Their ace set the tone, looking postseason-ready as he tossed five scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out eight.

Offense was hard to come by, with Philadelphia managing only three hits on the day. Their first run didn’t arrive until the 8th inning, when Max Kepler homered against his former team.

In the 10th, Orion Kerkering took the mound and electrified the crowd by striking out the side. That momentum carried into the bottom half, where a sacrifice bunt moved the runner to third and Nick Castellanos delivered the walk-off sac fly.

With the win, the Phillies now turn their attention to the NLDS, where they’ll await the winner of the Dodgers-Reds series.
