The Phillies stormed back from a 4-0 deficit to defeat the Dodgers in dramatic fashion, clinching the series with a walk-off 3-run homer from Rafael Marchán.
Trailing 4-0 heading into the bottom of the 6th, the Phillies sparked a five-hit rally that began with a single from Marchán. Harrison Bader and Kyle Schwarber followed with back-to-back singles to load the bases, setting the stage for Bryce Harper, who delivered a 2-run double to cut the lead in half. Brandon Marsh stepped up next and crushed a 3-run homer to right-center, flipping the game and giving the Phillies a 5-4 lead.
Max Kepler added insurance later in the inning with a solo home run, capping off a six-run frame and giving the Phillies a 6-4 lead.
The Dodgers didn’t go quietly. Shohei Ohtani blasted his 50th home run of the season to make it 6-5, and a sacrifice fly in the 8th tied the game at 6 apiece.
With two outs in the bottom of the 9th and runners on second and third — set up by a Weston Wilson double and an intentional walk — Marchán came through once again. He launched a clutch 3-run homer, walking it off for the Phillies and sealing a thrilling 9-6 victory.
The win not only completed the comeback but also secured the series for Philadelphia.
