OXFORD, MS – September 27, 2025 — The #4 LSU Tigers suffered their first loss of the season Saturday, falling 24-19 to #13 Ole Miss in a tough SEC road matchup. Missing key offensive weapons, the Tigers couldn’t generate enough offense to keep pace, dropping to 4-1 on the year.

LSU was without standout running back Caden Durham, and things got worse when star wide receiver Aaron Anderson exited the game in the second quarter due to injury. Without those two explosive playmakers, the Tigers struggled to find rhythm on offense.

Quarterback Garrett Nussmeier had a rough outing, completing 21 of 34 passes for just 197 yards. The LSU offense managed only 254 total yards, with the running game virtually non-existent. Questionable play-calling also contributed to the Tigers’ lack of production.

Despite the offense’s struggles, the LSU defense battled hard to keep the game close. However, without help from the offense, they eventually wore down against a determined Ole Miss attack.

The loss drops LSU to 4-1 and adds pressure heading into the heart of SEC play.
