Emmett Sheehan delivered a dominant performance on the mound, tossing 7 innings of one-hit, shutout baseball while striking out 10. The young right-hander has been in excellent form recently, and tonight was no exception.

Unfortunately for the Dodgers, Sheehan’s brilliance went to waste as the offense remained silent. The bats couldn’t get anything going, and a rough outing by reliever Blake Treinen sealed their fate. Treinen gave up all three of the Giants’ runs in a single inning, ultimately leading to a 3–0 loss.

Despite the setback, the Dodgers’ magic number to clinch the division remains at 4.
