SEATTLE, WA – September 27, 2025 — The Los Angeles Dodgers edged past the Seattle Mariners with a thrilling 5-3 win on Saturday night, thanks to a standout performance from Enrique “Kiké” Hernández. Nicknamed “Mr. October” for his postseason heroics, Hernández was the star of the show, going 3-for-4 and delivering a game-changing two-run double in the ninth inning.

The Dodgers, who managed just seven hits in the game, saw nearly half of them come from Hernández alone. His ninth-inning double broke a 3-3 tie and ultimately sealed the victory, marking one of the most clutch moments in the final stretch of the regular season.

With the win, Los Angeles improved to 92-69, as they prepare to wrap up their regular season campaign tomorrow before heading into the 2025 MLB postseason.

Hernández Delivers in the Clutch — Again

Known for rising to the occasion in big moments, Kiké Hernández once again proved his value in high-pressure situations. After a tightly contested game, his two-run double gave the Dodgers the late edge they needed.

“That’s why they call him Mr. October,” said Dodgers manager Dave Roberts after the game. “He’s always ready when it matters most.”

Edgardo Henriquez Shuts the Door

Rookie reliever Edgardo Henriquez was called upon in the bottom of the ninth and wasted no time. Facing the heart of Seattle’s lineup, Henriquez struck out all three batters in dominant fashion to earn the save — his third of the season.

“Henriquez was lights out,” Roberts added. “It was one of the best relief performances we’ve seen all year.”

One More Game Before October Baseball

With the postseason around the corner, the Dodgers have just one regular-season game remaining. Having secured 92 wins, the team will now look to finish strong and build momentum heading into October.

Tomorrow’s finale against the Mariners will offer the Dodgers a final tune-up before the NLDS, where they are expected to be a serious contender
