The Dodgers leaned on elite pitching to take down the Rockies in a tightly contested game, winning 2-1 behind a stellar performance from ace Tyler Glasnow. Glasnow was electric, tossing seven no-hit innings while allowing just one earned run and striking out 11. It was one of his most dominant outings of the season.
Despite limited offense — the Dodgers managed just four hits — they made it count when it mattered. Mookie Betts delivered the key blow with a clutch two-out, two-run single in the seventh inning, giving Los Angeles the lead for good.
The bullpen locked things down from there, with Tanner Scott closing it out in the ninth to earn his 21st save of the season.
With the win, the Dodgers now hold a one-game lead over the Padres in the NL West. Emmet Sheehan is expected to start tomorrow’s series finale for L.A.
The magic number is 18
