The Genetic Post is a news media outlet based in California and Montana, originally founded in the Inland Empire before expanding into Orange and Los Angeles Counties. The company was created by Jay Parker, whose journey into media began with sports photography.

Jay first picked up a camera on November 22, 2023, when he photographed the Calabasas vs. Oaks Christian basketball game during the West Valley Tip-Off Classic at Calabasas High School. Using a Canon M50—a camera he had purchased four years earlier for vlogging but left unused—he discovered his passion for capturing sports moments through the lens.

Building on that experience, Jay officially launched The Genetic Post in August 2025, turning his personal photography journey into a broader media platform.
