The NFL Top 100 list was released, and nine Philadelphia Eagles earned a spot among the league’s best—solidifying just how stacked this roster is heading into the new season. To have this many players recognized, including two rookies, speaks volumes about the talent pipeline in Philly and the elite eye for talent of general manager Howie Roseman. There’s a reason many consider him the best GM in football today.
One of the biggest surprises? Jalen Hurts’ ranking. While he did make the list, it was shocking to see him placed as low as he was. After everything he’s done for this team—leading deep playoff runs, winning Super Bowl MVP, and establishing himself as the face of the franchise—he deserved a spot in the top 10. Hopefully, this season silences any remaining doubters.
In the trenches, Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson rightfully earned recognition. These two continue to dominate as one of the best tackle duos in the league. Still, for Mailata to be ranked that low feels like a miss. He’s easily a top 5 tackle—arguably top 3. As a long-time Mailata believer, it’s disappointing to see him underrated once again, but hopefully that changes soon.
And then there’s Saquon Barkley. Making history as the first Eagle ever to land at #1 on the NFL Top 100 is an incredible achievement—not just for Saquon, but for the organization as a whole. His move from New York to Philly is already paying dividends in both performance and recognition.
With so much talent on both sides of the ball, and with Howie continuing to build a contender year after year, this upcoming Eagles season is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in recent memory. There’s no doubt: this team has a real shot to run it back and make another deep postseason run.
Fly Eagles Fly.
